Detroit Public Schools Community District welcomes you to application for admission to its exam and random selection schools for the 2025-26 school year. This application is for students entering grades 2-8 only. There is a separate application for students entering Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten through Grade 1.
This application is for Round 1. Some schools and grade levels have already been filled. The schools and grade levels available in this application are:
- Bates Academy (2-8)
- Chrysler Elementary (2-5)
- Foreign Language Immersion and Cultural Studies (FLICS) (2-8)
- Edison Elementary (2-3)
- Edmonson Elementary (2-8)
- Palmer Park Preparatory Academy (2-8)
- The School at Marygrove (2-5)
If applicable, please register for the admissions exam at your earliest convenience. Instructions will be provided in the application.
Guidelines
- You may save the application in progress and return to make as many changes as necessary prior to submitting it. Please review the application carefully before submitting.
- All deadlines are final.
- Do not submit more than one application for the same student. You may email application.schools@detroitk12.org or use Submittable to send a message to the Admissions Team to request the opportunity to edit or update your application.
